Practice a guided mock interview
Pro, Sprint, and active Campus members can open Guided interview practice, add their factual background and target role, and consent to AI processing. Creating five written questions and five multiple-choice scenarios costs one AI credit; grading the complete practice costs one more. Coaching tips are included. The final report scores relevance, structure, supporting evidence, and clarity, with practical improvements for each answer. Quiz accuracy is shown separately out of five, with explanations revealed after submission. Written grades are practice feedback, not hiring predictions. Sessions and reports remain viewable for 30 days; download or delete them from My private practice sessions. Credit packs alone do not unlock this feature.
Practice an interview →Confirm a purchase or delayed credit update
After Stripe checkout, Resume Ninja verifies the payment and account update. The success link alone does not confirm payment. The account page checks automatically for a short time and refreshes your balance once the purchase is added. If it is still processing, choose Check again or contact support before purchasing again. Closing checkout does not cancel an existing subscription.
Review my billing →Buy and check a one-time credit pack
Pay as you go costs $9 for 10 AI credits, valid for 180 days after payment, with no automatic renewal. Credit packs pay for eligible AI writing actions and do not include Pro membership. Pro members can buy extra packs too. My account separates free resume reviews, personal AI credits, and Campus credits. Open My credit packs to see each pack’s remaining credits and expiry. A notice highlights unused pack credits expiring within 14 days. Balances refresh when you return to the account tab. A full refund removes unused credits from that pack.
Review credit packs →Cancel renewal or find an invoice
Open My account → Membership & billing → Manage subscription to open your secure Stripe portal. Cancel renewal, update payment details, or view invoices there. Scheduled cancellation keeps subscription access through the paid period, with the end date shown in your account. A one-time credit pack does not renew and needs no subscription cancellation.
Manage billing →From resume to job application
Build or import your resume in the wizard, review its writing, then open Jobs. Search by keywords and location, optionally compare listings with your wizard draft, and select Prepare application. When comparison is enabled, its resume copy comes along with the listing. Review and tailor the copy, then choose Save application. Download the documents and submit through the employer’s own application page. Resume Ninja does not apply to jobs automatically.
Find jobs →Compare jobs with my resume
In Jobs, open Compare jobs with my resume and choose Use my wizard resume. Shared skill terms appear on each listing; you can optionally put listings with more shared skills first. The comparison runs on your device and uses a limited skill list and listing excerpts, not a hiring or ATS score. Your resume is not sent to Adzuna. Refresh the comparison after editing your draft, and check the full listing before adding only skills you actually have. Find within these listings filters the returned jobs by title, company, or location; it does not run a new provider search. You can hide jobs already tracked in the loaded workspace and expand a listing excerpt before preparing an application.
Compare job listings →Use and download a tailored application resume
In Applications, use your current wizard resume or choose a private version under Use a resume saved to my account. Replacing existing text asks first; original resumes stay unchanged. Application resumes have a 12,000-character limit and are never silently shortened. Open Check this resume before applying for resume writing and job requirements. Use Check cover letter spelling & grammar to review your letter separately. Accept suggestions individually; deeper checks require sign-in and consent. Then save the application. Download application documents offers resume and cover letter PDF or TXT, without tracker notes. The combined application export is for keeping your own complete copy.
Prepare application documents →Create and share my professional profile
Open My professional profile from your account. Add your name, short introduction, skills, and career goal; photo, contact email, professional link, and resume are optional. A free account is enough. Save private draft stores the text and photo in your account. Nothing becomes public until you review the preview, check the permission box, and enable sharing. Anyone with the link can view the shared details; your sign-in email is not added automatically.
Create my profile →Keep my resume private on a shared profile
You can share your introduction, skills, and career goal without sharing your resume. Leave Include my resume in the shared profile off. Contact email and professional links are shared when provided, so leave them blank if you do not want them visible. Private draft edits do not update the shared version; choose Update shared profile to publish changes. Resume PDF and text downloads appear only when the resume is included in sharing.
Review profile privacy →Turn off my profile sharing link
Choose Turn off sharing on your profile to disable the existing link. Your private draft stays saved. Re-enabling sharing creates a new link, so send the new address to recruiters. Files or copies someone already downloaded cannot be recalled. Link sharing does not add you to a searchable recruiter directory.
Manage profile sharing →Check spelling and sentence grammar
Basic English spelling and grammar checks run on your device during Review. Highlighted phrases have suggestions you can accept or ignore, with undo for your last correction. For deeper sentence grammar, sign in and open Check sentence grammar more deeply. You must allow sending the current resume text to Resume Ninja’s private grammar server. This rule-based check does not use AI credits or save a resume snapshot. Results are suggestions, not a guarantee; names, specialist terms, and resume fragments may be valid.
Review my resume →My resume file will not open
Choose one PDF, DOCX, TXT, or Resume Ninja backup at a time, up to 5 MB. PDFs must be readable and unlocked, with no more than 15 pages. Word imports reject unsupported archives, embedded active content, and files exceeding expansion limits. Renaming a file does not change its format. Export a fresh PDF or plain DOCX from your document editor, save a UTF-8 TXT copy, or paste your resume text. Scanned PDFs may need text recognition first. Failed imports leave your current draft unchanged.
Try the resume wizard →Free manual Career workspace
Track applications, save documents and achievement notes, practice interview answers, and follow a 30-day Sprint without sign-in or a subscription. Choose Save to store items in this browser profile; unsaved edits are not stored. Download a workspace backup to move saved work to another device. Cloud work remains separate. Nearby job search and member profiles require a free account. AI generation and portfolio publishing from the manual workspace remain coming soon; member profile sharing is available now.
Open Career workspace →Using a shared computer
The wizard recovery copy is available to others using the same browser profile. Download an editable backup somewhere private, then open Backup & browser storage in the wizard sidebar and choose Remove browser recovery copy. Your draft stays open and autosave pauses until you choose Use this draft for recovery. This removes only the wizard recovery copy, not saved account versions or downloaded files. Close the tab when you finish.
Open the wizard →Keep an editable backup
Open Backup & browser storage in the wizard sidebar and choose Download editable backup to keep your resume text, guided fields, layout, and current step in a file. Keep it private: the file contains your resume details. Restore it through Get started → Choose a file. A PDF is for sharing; the backup is for continuing your work.
Open the wizard →Build a resume without an account
Open the four-step resume wizard. Start fresh, upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT file, or paste your text. Add your details, review writing, choose a layout, and download PDF or text. Manual tools do not require sign-in, payment, or AI. Local recovery keeps your draft and wizard step in this browser profile; download a copy before clearing browser data.
Open the resume wizard →Are paid plans available?
Ninja Pro is available for $15/month or $99/year. Pay as you go is $9 for 10 AI credits valid for 180 days, with no automatic renewal. Credit packs do not include Pro membership. Campus and Career Sprint purchases remain coming soon. Manual resume building, editing, and downloads remain free.
Compare payment options →Where are my AI credits?
Your account shows free reviews, personal credits and Campus allocations separately. Five free reviews are a lifetime allowance. Career writing tools use one Campus or personal credit per successful draft. Your organization admin assigns Campus credits.
Check my credits →My AI request failed
Failed requests release their reserved credit. A request interrupted in your browser may still finish on the server; check your balance before retrying. In-progress reservations expire after two minutes. Check the 20,000-character resume and 10,000-character context limits.
Check my balance →I purchased a plan but a feature is locked
Sign in with the account used at checkout and review its payment confirmation and current access. A credit pack pays for eligible AI actions and does not include Pro membership. Payment can be confirmed before the account update finishes; choose Check again or refresh billing and access. Contact support before buying again if the expected access is still missing.
Open account →Find or recover my saved work
The resume wizard restores its working draft in the same browser profile. Account snapshots appear under My resumes after you sign in; choose Save to my account to create one. Manual Career workspace items stay in this browser: open Documents for saved documents or Archive to restore archived items. Use editable resume and workspace backups to move local work between devices. Account snapshots and local backups are separate; signing in does not upload browser drafts.
Open saved resumes →Open Career documents →Turn a TXT file into a resume
Choose Start from scratch for guided questions, or Choose a file to import a TXT, PDF, or DOCX resume. Imported text stays editable; it is not automatically split into guided fields. Review your writing, then choose a layout and download. Files are limited to 5 MB; PDF reading is limited to 15 pages.
Open resume builder →Install or update the app
Use the install page for your browser’s instructions. Installed windows hide the install link. When an update is available, save your work and choose Save draft & refresh. Unsaved Campus or career forms can block an update until saved.
Install instructions →Campus is showing zero credits
Registration creates a setup workspace, not a paid license. After a license and monthly pool are provisioned, an organization admin must allocate credits to members. Personal credit packs do not activate Campus.
Open Campus →Share with an advisor safely
In Campus, open Career services and select an advisor. Review the copy and confirm sharing. Other admins cannot read it merely because they manage your organization. Revoke sharing to remove the shared copy and feedback.
Choose Campus for advisor sharing →Make a portfolio private again
Manual Portfolio tools save private drafts in this browser; public publishing is coming soon there. If you previously published through the cloud workspace, open its Portfolio tab and select Unpublish portfolio. People with the link will then see an unavailable page.
Manage cloud portfolio →Set a follow-up reminder
Add a follow-up date to a saved application. Manage follow-up offers Tomorrow, In 3 days, and In one week shortcuts; choose Save follow-up to keep the date. After contacting the employer, clear or reschedule it. Saved cards also let you update status directly after saving any open edits. The notification bell in the wizard and Career workspace shows due-today and overdue reminders while the app is open, using your device’s calendar date. Browser and account reminders are labeled separately. Open Manage follow-up on a saved application to change the date, choose In one week and save, or clear the reminder. Closed, offered, and archived applications do not generate reminders. Download a calendar reminder for alerts outside the app; there are no automatic push alerts.
Open application tracker →Why are there no matching jobs?
Nearby US job search is available with a signed-in free account; no premium plan or resume is required. Enter keywords, a five-digit ZIP code, and distance in Jobs. Try broader keywords or a larger radius if nothing appears. The remote option finds listings mentioning remote work; confirm eligibility with the employer. Listings are provided by Adzuna and may be incomplete or out of date. No results do not mean no jobs exist. Recent results restore in the same tab for up to 30 minutes; Find jobs refreshes them.
Track a job application →Export before my plan ends
Download documents and your Sprint checklist from Career workspace. Saved items remain readable and exportable after plan expiry. Open a resume in the studio to choose a layout and export PDF.
Export my work →
